Terms and Conditions for Class Bookings

All classes are non-profit making. DanceWest is a registered charity supporting the community to be healthy and happy by participating in dance, health and wellbeing programmes.

  1. Booking Confirmation:

    • All bookings must be made using our online booking system.

    • Classes should ideally be booked at least 24 hours in advance, however, last-minute bookings can be made up until 1 minute before the class starts, subject to availability.

  2. Using your class pass:

    • Our programme operates in three blocks: January-March, April-July and September-December.

    • 12 Class passes must be used within the block they were purchased. Passes purchased in the second half of a block will have an extended validity of the first half of the next block.

    • 6 Class passes must be used within the block they were purchased.

    • Drop in passes are valid for a month from the date of purchase.

    • You may cancel your place in a class up to 24hrs before the start of the session. No refunds or transfers will be given for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class.

  3. Cancellation Policy:

    • If you wish to cancel your class pass purchase within 7 days of the block starting, you will be refunded your fee minus any classes already attended. 

    • If you wish to cancel your class pass purchase after 7 days from the start of the block, your fee will only be refunded in cases of illness or injury where a valid doctor’s note is provided. 

    • You will be offered an extension of the validation period in the case of illness or injury where a valid doctor’s note is provided.

  4. Attendance:

    • Participants are expected to arrive on time. Late arrivals are at the teacher's discretion and if you are 10 or more minutes late you may not be admitted and will not be eligible for a refund.

  5. Health and Safety:

    • Participants should be in good health and make us aware of any medical conditions that may impact participation (Please ensure you have completed the medical form - disclosing any medical conditions will not prohibit you from participation, but will make sure our teachers are best equipped to support your safety and wellbeing.)

    • DanceWest is not responsible for any injuries sustained during the class.

    • Participants must adhere to all safety instructions provided by the teacher.

    • Jewellery should be removed before class, and long hair should be tied back.

  6. Conduct:

    • Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards instructors, staff, and fellow participants.

    • Any disruptive behavior may result in the participant being asked to leave the class without a refund.

  7. Personal Belongings:

    • DanceWest is not responsible for any lost or stolen personal belongings. Please keep valuables at home.

  8. Photography and Video:

    • DanceWest may take photos or videos during the class for promotional purposes. (Please ensure you have provided your photo consent information.)

    • If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform the instructor prior to the class.

  9. Accessibility and Facilities:

    • There is step-free access to the building and our studio.

    • Accessible toilets are available.

    • Changing facilities are available.

    • A café is on site.

  10. Dress Code:

    • Participants can wear whatever they are comfortable moving in.

    • Dance shoes are welcome, although no dark/black soles are allowed, or participants can be barefoot.

    • Jewellery should be removed before class, and long hair should be tied back.

    • DanceWest t-shirts and tote bags are available for purchase.

  11. Other Services:

    • Mat and block rental are included in your class fee

    • Bottled water is available for £1

  12. Changes to Schedule:

    • DanceWest reserves the right to make changes to the class schedule, including instructor changes, and will notify participants as soon as possible.

  13. Data Protection:

    • By booking this class, you will automatically be added to our mailing list, so we can keep you up to date on changes to classes, cancellations and onsite news and events that may interest you. We will not share your personal information with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@dancewest.co.uk

    Acceptance of Terms:

    • By booking an adult class, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
