The Music Video Project
News just in!
DanceWest are producing a project for young people aged 13-19 from West London supported by Epic Youth Services. Working alongside an international choreographer and industry professionals, young people will create and star in their own music video and will gain an AQA Award Scheme.

Dancing Books - We need you!
We are seeking three exceptional dance artists to deliver Dancing Books, a brand new project which uses literature as inspiration for a series of creative classes for parents, carers and under 5s.

Masterclass with Antoine Marc
On Monday 15 February a group of 18 young people took part in our masterclass with international choreographer Antoine Marc. The young people were introduced to floor work, learnt choreography and created their own movement inspired by what they had learnt from the day.

Evolution Inventing Our Future - Lyric Hammersmith
On Friday 22 January twenty young people from DanceWest classes performed in a flash mob to kick start Evolution, a two day celebration of the groundbreaking work produced by young people at the Lyric Hammersmith. We are all extremely proud of the young people - well done!

2+1 by Tara Pilbrow
We are delighted to announce we are producing 2+1 by Tara Pilbrow Dance.
2+1 is an innovative dance theatre piece about the joys and terrors of early parenthood. The piece captures the wonder, stress, exhaustion and confusion that first time parents feel during the first years of their child's life. Audience members and their children are invited to stay for a play/ chat/ drink with the company members after the show.

Networking Event 9 December 2015
In December 2015 we hosted our second networking event at the Lyric Hammersmith. The event was attended by over 30 dance artists, choreographers, producers and dance students. Express yourself, get moving and develop your dance technique! This is an inclusive dance group co-delivered by DanceWest & Action on Disability. Supported by London Youth get ready to dance programme. Suitable for young people 11-25 years.

DanceWest Networking & Launch
On Wednesday 9 December we hosted our launch and a networking event. Over 40 people attended our event at the Lyric Hammersmith. In January we will be circulating a note from the event stay tuned for more!
The Project by DanceWest & Victoria and Albert Museum
This December we delivered a project in partnership with the Victoria and Albert Museum for young people aged 16-24 years. Inspired by a guided tour of the Performance Gallery DanceWest artists Kate Mummery and Hakeem Onibudo support the young people to create a performance and gain their Arts Award!

This December - DanceWest and the V&A
We are excited to announce that this December we will be delivering an innovative project in partnership with the V&A.
Working with young people aged 16-24 the project aims to provide them with an opportunity to take part in a professional lead project, gain skills from professional artists and achieve an Explore Arts Award qualification.
