DanceWest Party host - rolling deadline

We're always on the lookout for a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team as a Dance Party Host! Your role will be crucial in setting the stage for an incredible event!

DanceWest party host duties

Opening the Venue

  • Coordinate with the event staff to verify all necessary equipment is in working order.

  • Greet early arrivals with enthusiasm, setting a positive tone for the event.

    Creating a Welcoming Atmosphere

  • Welcome guests

  • Ensure that the entrance is well-organised and that guests feel excited about the event.

  • Manage the flow of attendees and maintain a lively atmosphere.

    Setting the Stage

  • Introduce the teachers, the party and activities planned.

  • Engage with the parents/carers

  • Foster a sense of community and camaraderie among the partygoers.

    Overseeing the Event

  • Be the point of contact for the teachers and any guest inquiries or concerns.

  • Collaborate with the teachers to ensure a seamless flow of entertainment.

  • Monitor the overall vibe of the party and adjust as needed to keep the energy high.

    Closing the Venue

  • Coordinate with the event staff to wrap up any remaining activities.

  • Ensure the venue is left in good condition and that all equipment is properly stored.

Requirements:

  • Experience with customer management. 

  • Excellent time keeping. 

  • Previous experience in event hosting or entertainment is a plus.

  • Dance background and or teaching is a plus. 

  • Available to work weekends. 

  • DBS check required.

  • Ability to command attention and maintain a lively atmosphere.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Terms and Conditions

  • Pay: £12.00 per hour, a minimum booking 3 hours £36.00 and maximum 4.5 hours £54.00 per event. 

  • Hours: Weekend and flexible.

  • Contract: Freelance contract.   

  • Studio base: DanceWest Studio, Sands End Arts & Community Centre, Peterborough Road, London, SW6 3EZ.
