We are looking to expand our pool of exceptional community dance teachers, to deliver Bolder not Older our programme for adults 65+ in care homes, community centers and sheltered accommodation.

Applicants must have a minimum of five years, experience teaching dance in community settings for vulnerable adults. We are interested in hearing from people that represent the BAME community (BAME definition - Black, Asian, and minority ethnic), community dance teachers that live in West London and community dance teachers with experience of delivering dance to adults with Parkinson’s Dementia and Alzheimer's. Bolder not Older Company Open Class 6 September

Do you love to dance? Are you aged 55+? Then join DanceWest’s Bolder not Older Company. We are hosting an open class from 11.30am-1pm on Friday 6 September at The Tabernacle, 35 Powis Square, London W11 2AY. The open class costs £5, payable on the day. It will provide a flavour of what the Company does each week, with an opportunity to sign up for one of our three weekly Bolder not Older Company classes in the autumn term. Inclusive Disco & Performance by Move it Mondays

On Saturday 8th June we produced a Inclusive Disco as part of Joy Festival in partnership with Turtle Key Arts and Hammersmith & Fulham Arts Festival. Opening the disco were young people from our Move it Mondays programme - an inclusive dance group for young people aged 8-26 years. Thanks to support from the National Lottery DanceWest will be producing the next inclusive Disco in December. More new to follow!

DanceWest’s programmes are delivered by a team of experienced dance teachers and assistants supported by a small back office team. 

Our programmes are designed to bring positive change in our communities, improving health and wellbeing and providing high-quality, safe, and enjoyable dance activity. People working with us feel part of something amazing and are motivated to make a difference. Our office environment is friendly, inclusive and hardworking!

We are delighted to announce a brand new programme, initiated by Danielle Teale the Dancing with Parkinson’s programme brings a high quality dance opportunities for people with Parkinson’s, their loved ones, companions, friends and carers in a supportive and sociable environment. Bolder not Older Company is performing at Sadlers Wells! Our dancers will take part in Elixir Extracts Festival on Sunday 16 June. Elixir Extracts celebrates lifelong creativity with a platform dedicated to older artists, including a performance by Sadlers Wells Company of Elders.
